- Can blogs only be about technical articles?
In the early days, blogs were mostly built by programmers who were proficient in coding, so many people seem to have a stereotype about blogs: I can't write any technical articles, so having a blog seems useless. In fact, what a personal blog records is completely based on oneself, not others. You can share life, photography, daily rants on your own blog, or treat it as an online notebook to record your learning experiences. There is a channel on Telegram specifically collecting various independent blogs (@FindBlog), where you can see blogs with various contents. Therefore, blogs are not just for showcasing technical articles, but they focus on thinking, recording, sharing, and persistence.
- Is it difficult to build a blog?
It was indeed more difficult to build a blog in the early days because there were not as many choices as there are now, and the internet was not as developed. It was not easy for people to share their website building experiences. However, now you can easily have your own blog with just a few clicks. Website building platforms like WordPress are already very mature, so even if you have no programming knowledge, it doesn't affect you from having your own blog. If you want to purchase a server, domain, and build a blog on your own, there are many tutorials available for reference. Basically, you can quickly start your own blog by copying and pasting commands. Building your own blog is really not as difficult as you imagine. Don't be afraid to try, if you have an idea, you should take action.
- Is quantity or quality more important?
I think this question should not be asked to others, but to yourself. If your blog mainly consists of technical articles or educational knowledge articles, then it will inevitably require a lot of research and time. If you only use it as a diary or notebook, then you can record whatever comes to your mind. However, my suggestion is: try not to spend too much time on a single blog post, because the longer it takes, the harder it will be for you to continue. Try to set a deadline for yourself and complete it within that timeframe. It is normal to feel unsure about how to start writing a blog at the beginning, but as long as you have the determination to persist, you will gradually improve.
